In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
I have stuck to the same conventions by using a similar colour pink for my mast head. The type of writing is similar. I have subverged the conventions by using a white background and not having a coloured background. On the 'top of the pops' masthead they have used a bigger backdrop on the title, while i have used a smaller one and used the colour blue. On the tops of the pops you can see heads which are over the titles, however on mine there are no heads which are covering the title. This is because my magazine is not an already established magazine so people will need to see the title clearly so they are able to read what is says.

Both pictures are in the middle and in both pictures the model is looking at the camera. This is the first thing the reader will see when looking at the magazine so needs to stand out to bring the reader in. The model i used on my music magazine looks simlilar to the model used on top of the pops magazine.

The music genre i aimed my music magazine at was pop. This is seen in my magazine by using the colour pink throughout my pages and the used of having hearts on my front cover suggests it is a girly magazine. On my double page spead i have used stars at the top of the page, this reinforces that it is a pop magazine.
How does your media product represemt particular social groups?
Some similarities of these photos is they are both sitting with there back to each other. Some differences are they are wearing different clothes, one is wearing dresses which make them look more girly while the other is wearing shorts. Both images are aiming at girly girls who love to go shopping, so would wear 'cute' shorts. However I told them to wear shorts so they look girly but still look inocent at the same time.
What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?
I would distribute my music magazine with IPC a this company produces over 60 iconic media brands and as it is a big instition it will be able to advertise my magazine in order for people to buy it. This magazine will be on the shelf which is eye level to its target market so around in the middle, this will then be able to catch and attract their eye to it. There will able be an app which people can get on their smartphones which will enable them to be able to get more makeup and clothes tips.
Who would be the audience for your media product?
How did you attract/adress your audience?
What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?
Digital Camera -
Tripod-
Photoshop-
Blogger-
Slideshare-
I have learnt the ways in which the model for the photograph has to stand and be facing. I have also leant how to change the levels of a photograph and how to edit a photo. In my music magazine i learnt about lighting and that i needed a plain background, which means you are then putting your attention on to the model and not the things in the background.
For my masthead in my school magazine i didnt realise it needed to stand out in order to draw people in, so im my music magazine i learnt how to do a backdrop which makes it stand out and added another colour as a shadow.
